Chicken Hamonado

Usually with this recipe most cooked this with a slab of pork with fats included, since I am not really a big fan of pork I decided to try chicken breast. The outcome was really good and it wasn't oily at all. Aunt D ate it and said it was really delicious and the left-over I used as a filling in my Sio-pao,i hope you would give it a try,I bet you would like the taste. By just looking at it,you would thought it is a chicken adobo but when you tasted it,you will find-out it is not....It is absolutely very easy to prepare. As always,I did my own estimation,so it is up to you how tasty you wanted yor chicken hamonado will be.

Ingredients: chicken breast or thigh

oyster sauce

soysauce

brown sugar

pineapple juice

crushed garlic

whole peppercorns

chopped onion

bayleaf

msg(optional)

Instructions:

Mix all the ingredients with enough water to cover the chicken.

Simmer until the sauce has thicken and almost dry. If you wanted more sauce just cook the

chicken thoroughly and thicken the sauce.

Be sure that the chicken meat is fork tender.

Serve it with hot rice or mashed potato.

Pickled papaya is the best side dish if you are eating it with hot rice.

I used the extra sauce for fried rice as well....it was very good.
