Last Year for Marat Safin

I watched the game between Roger Federer and Marat Safin this morning and I was sad, I guess not only me but to all of his followers and fans.We know Safin as the man who doesn't back-out and give everything he had when it comes in playing tennis.He is not scared to voice out his opinion either it is solicited or not,he speaks his mind without fear.When he criticized something he said it in front of the press.He is a man who is brutally frank and true to his words.

He said last year that this year is his last year playing as a professional tennis player,we thought that he was just kidding but today after he lost to Federer,the commentator gave the news that Marat has made a decision that this will be the last time for him to play in Australian Open ,which he won few years back.In fact this is his last year.=(

He made history when he beat Pete Sampras in US Open when he was just 19 yrs.old.At that time Pete Sampras was the best tennis there was and the number one in the world.I will miss his scream,his gesture when he is mad,his temper and when he smashed his racket when he is really disappointed but all in all,I will miss him in tennis sport.He is one of the best out there at this time but he said he spent most of his life in tennis and it is time for him to do something else.

To Marat Safin,thanks for all those good times,good games you have shared with us.God Bless You.Your presence will be miss in the court,especially your very handsome face along with that killer smile of yours.
